Backorder/Preorder Policy
This policy outlines the procedures and terms regarding backorders and preorders. We strive to provide transparency, efficiency, and satisfaction to you while managing orders that are not currently in stock / ready-to-ship. Please review the following information carefully before placing a backorder or preorder.
Definitions
Backorder: A backorder occurs when an item is temporarily out of stock at the time of purchase. If backorders are open, you may still place orders for backordered items, and we will fulfill these orders as soon as the item becomes available.
Preorder: A preorder refers to the purchase of an item before it is officially released or in stock for the first time. You reserve and pay for the item in advance, and we will fulfill the order once the item is released.
Backorder/Preorder Process
You will be notified of the estimated restocking date on the product page for backorders.
The expected release date for preorders will be on the product page, and any potential delays will be communicated further by email.
Orders containing both in-stock and backordered/preordered items will not be shipped until all items are available. Please separate orders containing in-stock/ready-to-ship items unless you are okay with waiting.
Payment
You will be charged the total amount for backordered/preordered items, including applicable taxes, at the time of purchase. Also, unless otherwise specified on the product page or at checkout, you will be charged for shipping at checkout unless you meet the minimum order value criteria for free shipping
Cancellation and Refunds
To cancel, reach out to us via email and provide your order details.
Refunds for canceled backorders or preorders are typically processed within 3-5 business days or less and issued to the original form of payment. Once done, you will receive an email confirmation of cancellation.
Fulfillment & Shipping
Preordered items will be shipped on or shortly after the official release date, using the shipping method selected at checkout.
Upon fulfillment, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information once your order has been dispatched.
Availability
In the unlikely event that a backorder or preorder item becomes permanently unavailable or discontinued, you will be notified, and any payments made will be refunded in full.
Communication & Transparency
It is my responsibility to keep you in the loop about any updates or changes regarding your backordered or preordered items, and to dispatch them on time within the projected shipping windows. While sometimes not ideal, offering the occasional backorder or preorder helps me out as a small, individually run business substantially and enables the quicker production of both new and existing products.
As a thanks for your support and business, backorders and preorders will typically be shipped with some kind of freebies included or offered with a special incentive such as a discount or free shipping.
